What You'll Need
Before you begin, gather the Jacamar fronts you received, IKEA Utrusta hinges, a Phillips head screwdriver or an electric drill with a soft bit, a spirit level, and possibly a door gap gauge for tall doors.
Step 1 — Remove the old fronts
Unscrew the existing hinges from inside the cabinet. Utrusta hinges unclip by pressing the quick-release button. The front will detach effortlessly.
Keep the mounting plates fixed in the cabinet if they are in good condition; you can reuse them with the new hinges.
Step 2 — Attach the hinges to the new front
Our fronts come pre-drilled at the standard IKEA Method locations. You don't need to measure or drill.
Insert the Utrusta hinge body into the 35mm hole and screw in the two fixing screws. Tighten by hand first, then gently finish with a drill. The high-density MDF holds screws excellently, no need to force it.

For tall doors measuring 120 cm and more, we recommend three hinges for optimal hold.
