The product
EXPRESSO oak veneer sample, reference S-4438
The darkest shade in the collection. A very dense brown, where the grain reads through contrast rather than colour. The spirit of 1960s architect-designed furniture.
Screens render wood differently depending on their calibration, and dark shades are the most misleading in photos. That is exactly what this sample lets you check.
What you can judge
The true depth of the brown, which varies a lot with the light, how the grain stands out on a dark background, and the matt lacquer that avoids any mirror effect.
