Since 1865
Ateliers Jacamar is the culmination of a love for wood passed down from generation to generation since 1865
At that time, Jean-Joseph Deniel-Bouchard, a master wheelwright in Brittany, designed and manufactured hubs, spokes, wheels, and oak frames, while also working with beech, valued for its flexibility and ease of bending. Over the years, his expertise extended beyond the rural and artisanal beginnings to meet custom orders from new, more varied, and demanding clientele. Several generations later, his great-grandsons rekindled this passion for wood by founding Ateliers Jacamar. Their ambition: to put their experience and attention to detail at the service of clients and master builders, cultivating the creative freedom that drives each project.
Their motto could be summed up as: "Let your imagination guide you, without ever limiting your ambition."
Coming from a long line of wood artisans since 1865, Luc Deniel, after twenty years in high-end construction and real estate development in Paris, decided to return to his roots and passions: working with materials. Starting out as a workshop manager for joinery and carpentry production, he developed rare expertise in mastering the entire manufacturing chain. A true cost killer with a strong network of European suppliers, he combines entrepreneurial vision and artisanal demanding standards to serve custom projects.
A graduate of the Nantes School of Design, Pierre-Luc Deniel is an industrial designer with fifteen years of experience in product and hardware development. A passionate design and wellness entrepreneur, he has helped generate several million euros in revenue with innovative brands. A collector of mid-century furniture and having worked in the studios of Michael Anastassiades and Eric Benqué, he champions a vision of design that is understated, functional, and sensitive.
